Exploring the Value of Systems Engineering
We are pleased to invite you to discover the significant impact of Systems Engineering (SE) across diverse sectors in Japan, including the automotive and aerospace industries. The conference will feature a keynote speech by Dr. Quoc Do, the INCOSE Asia-Oceania Sector Director, who will focus on the application of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) in infrastructure projects. Additionally, there will be three insightful presentations delivered by practitioners in Systems Engineering from the automotive and aerospace fields.
Following these presentations, we will conduct a panel discussion and Q&A session with the distinguished members of the JCOSE Automotive Working Group, which was established in July 2024. To further enhance the experience, a networking reception will be organized, providing an exceptional opportunity for direct interaction among speakers and attendees, fostering collaboration and connections.

Navigating Complexity: A Systems Engineering Governance Framework (SEGA)
Speaker: Dr. Quoc Do
INCOSE Asia-Oceania Sector Director, ONE KBR Technical Fellow, Principal Consultant at Frazer-Nash Consultancy, and Systems Engineering Director, Submarine Rotational Force - West, Priority Works
This presentation introduces a Systems Engineering Governance Approach (SEGA) that enables the execution of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), and tackles intricate sociotechnical issues in infrastructure projects across organisational and national boundaries. The SEGA incorporates the Viable System Model (VSM) along with principles from Systems Engineering and cybernetics to facilitate efficient control, communication, coordination, and integration of MBSE teams and operations across international borders.
